Troubleshooting

Work through the steps for your issue. Stop once it’s fixed.

Apple Watch

My Haptix or timer state isn’t syncing

  1. Keep your iPhone and Apple Watch nearby with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled.
  2. Confirm Haptix is installed on the Watch and both devices have the same current app version.
  3. Open Haptix on both devices, then leave both apps open briefly so the pending update can finish.
  4. If the connection still looks stale, restart both devices and open the iPhone app first.
If Haptix says sync is paused: do not reinstall or reset either app. Take a screenshot of the message and contact support first so we can protect your pending timers and commands.

Haptics

I don’t feel wrist taps

  1. Wear Apple Watch snugly on the top of your wrist and confirm Wrist Detection is enabled.
  2. On Apple Watch, open Settings → Sounds & Haptics and turn on Haptic Alerts.
  3. In Haptix Settings, turn on Haptics and try a stronger Haptic Intensity. Use Test Pattern to check the result.
  4. Start a short test Haptix while the Watch app is visible to separate a haptic issue from a sync issue.

Silent Mode does not need to be disabled for Apple Watch haptic alerts.

Notifications

A completion or loop notification didn’t appear

  1. Open iPhone Settings → Notifications → Haptix and turn on Allow Notifications.
  2. Review Focus settings and make sure Haptix is not being silenced by the active Focus.
  3. In Haptix Settings, turn on Completion Notifications or Loop Transition Alerts for the alerts you want.
  4. Run a short test with the iPhone locked. If it still fails, include the device state in your support message.

Purchases

Haptix Pro isn’t unlocked

  1. Confirm the App Store is signed in with the Apple Account used for the original purchase.
  2. Open Haptix → Settings. In the Haptix Pro Unlock section, select Restore Purchases.
  3. Stay connected to the internet until the restore finishes. A pending family approval must be completed first.
  4. If no purchase is found, contact us with the Haptix version and the exact message shown—never send your Apple Account password or payment details.

Haptix Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

Background timers

What continues after the screen turns off?

The timer keeps its place and catches up when you open Haptix again. While an app is suspended, iOS and watchOS do not guarantee that its custom haptic pattern or in-app sound can run. Enabled system completion and loop-transition notifications are the background fallback; missed custom cues are not replayed later.

During active iPhone playback, Haptix prevents normal automatic screen timeout. Manually locking the iPhone, leaving either app, or lowering your wrist can still suspend app-owned cues. For very long looping sessions, reopen Haptix periodically to refresh upcoming alerts and see the current segment and remaining time.

Diagnostics

How do I share diagnostics with support?

  1. Open the Haptix Settings tab and scroll to the About section.
  2. Tap the Version row five times to open Diagnostics.
  3. Review the number and names of the local MetricKit payloads.
  4. Select Prepare Export, then review and share the file only if you choose to.
  5. Return to Diagnostics and select Delete Local Diagnostics when you no longer need them.

Haptix does not upload this export automatically. It can contain technical crash, hang, performance, and device-environment details, so share it only with a destination you trust.

Data & privacy

What leaves my devices?

Haptix has no developer-operated account, advertising, or analytics service. Your Haptix, settings, and local diagnostics are not uploaded to us automatically. If support asks for a diagnostic export, you choose whether and where to share it. Review our Privacy Policy for the complete explanation.

Let’s work it out

Tell us what happened.

A little context helps us find the problem. In your message, include:

  • Your iPhone and Apple Watch models, and their iOS / watchOS versions.
  • The Haptix version and build in Settings → About.
  • What you tried, what you expected, and what happened instead.
  • A screenshot of any error message, if you have one.

Leave out passwords and payment details. Only send a diagnostic export after reviewing it.
